The next major release of BEdita - 3.2 codename populus - will be released with a new license.
LGPL v3, GNU Lesser General Public License, has been selected for BEdita.
This will give more freedom to our users and present a clearer license scheme.
This means:
- you can build proprietary or free software solutions using BEdita, with no restrictions
- the only copyleft restrictions are on BEdita itself: i.e. if you modify BEdita core and distribute a proprietary software built with it, you have to publish those modifications (and only those) with a LGPL license
